AMS Ltd Re-locate to New Offices

Due to our continued development we have re-located to new office premises in Horsforth, Leeds.

This re-location is a very positive move for AMS Limited providing better facilities, a more open plan layout which will really enhance our team ethic and also provides room to further expand the business.

AMS Invests in Technology

As part of their on-going development AMS have purchased Samsung Tablet Computers for the mobile engineering team. The principal use for this equipment will be as a 'PDA' allowing instant allocation of jobs to the engineering team, along with real time communication of job progress, status and KPI data. In addition to this the device will be used as a 'PC' allowing the engineering team to view drawings, technical information, download required information and gain access to a huge amount of useful engineering 'apps' available.

Operations Manager, Adam Wider advised "We have all seen the typical PDA being used by many people, where the screen is so small that you cant read any information and so we decided to avoid this. We initially wanted a PDA style device to use for streamlining our call handling / reporting process but could see additional benefits in many of the current devices on the market. Having carried out a number of tests we opted for the Samsung device as it is extremely user friendly, the software is very sharp and we feel it portrays a very professional image This is a real step forward for AMS and we look forward to rolling these devices out in the coming weeks".

AMS Launches New Website

Following the recent re-branding exercise undertaken by AMS Limited, the new look website has now been launched. The website will be kept up to date with current news and developments, and will also display current vacancies. You will also notice the new social media links, and so to be kept up to date why not follow the links and add AMS on LinkedIn and Twitter.

AMS secure Sky Plaza, Leeds for a further 3 years

AMS have been successful in renewing the current service contract at Sky Plaza, Leeds for a further 3 years on behalf of Unite. The contract includes a full regime of planned preventative maintenance to all mechanical and electrical systems, along with specialist reactive repairs when necessary.

Unite are the UK's leading operator of purpose built student accommodation, providing a home to 42,000 students in over 130 properties. Sky Plaza, Leeds at 106m tall is one of the tallest and most prominent buildings in the Leeds skyline and offers accommodation to 562 students.

Adam Wider (Operations Manager) said "This is absolutely fantastic news for AMS. We have maintained this building since it was constructed in 2010 and so for Unite to award AMS a further 3 year contract demonstrates that we have provided a great service. We have developed an excellent working relationship with Unite and look forward to building on this in the future."
